I got magnetic ones as well. As most of us, I was trying out many different designs over the years. This one is awesome, no more fumbling with side grippers and it sticks to any surface. I bought one for each of our cars.

I am not sure about that "drop dead gorgeous" statement. The times when a car would qualify for this category are long gone.
