Re: Requiescet in Pace Dianne Spinner
Robert just posted another Y/T vid; he's struggling to pay the Mortuary service so he can bring Dianne home, and there seemed to be a hickup in getting donated funds released. In a text exchange with him the other day he said his target was to try to leave Vegas Thursday; a message I sent this morni...

Re: Manov goes back to school Homework N° 1
It appears to me the low pressure and high pressure fuel pump drawings are intended to be representative diagrams only. The actual differences will be in the details: Low pressure pump will have good suction characteristics to pull fuel from the tank. It will also be designed for medium outlet press...

Re: Manov goes back to school Homework N° 1
Also - I'm sure they were around before that, but in WWII, various planes added superchargers to make enormous power at high altitude where there's not enough air. Spitfire, P-51, P-38...I'm sure many others. Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 P-51D.jpg merlin-supercharger.jpg image172.jpg P-38 with Allison V-...

Re: 850 Broken bolt
The Skandix link was posted earlier in the thread; the part is available from others, depending on geography. The witness marks on the rotor - as well as the pic in our Gallic friend's avatar - seem to show an alloy wheel. The 'click' you hear - if the wheel bolts are properly torqued - may be loose...

Re: 850 Broken bolt
@ Neil If you buy generic steel wheels they may not have any hole at all for the centering pin, that's the basic issue.
@manovlov I suggest to start you remove, clean and grease the caliper slide pins. This should be a routine maintenance task in my experience.

Re: 850 Broken bolt
Hi Eric, that was what I said. I have never had an issue with a Volvo rim. With aftermarket rims you are on your own!! Worst case you can remove the bolt altogether. It is only there to keep the holes in the rotor and the threaded holes in the hub aligned. It is as foggydogg said, the torquing of th...
