ECT sensor or it's wiring.
Check from both....sensor side and engine wiring loom side.
Engine temp gauge and cooling fan behavior are classic symptoms of bad ECT(or it's wiring).

More than likely a junk cap, I wouldn't use those Gates caps. Only use OEM expansion tank caps.

You should monitor the fuel pressure during the warm start to see if it is losing pressure. The normal spec is to hold pressure for 20 minutes after turn off, it might be different for the AWD and R fuel system though.
