Re: 97 855 Rear Passenger Flexible Brake Hose
Here is the trick: remove the whole thing, then replace the hose when the whole thing is out of the car. 1. Disconnect at the Y-connector on driver's rear side. - Gently clamp the rubber hose on the driver's rear side just enough to stop fluid loss. 2. Undo the Right Rear brake caliper mounting bolt...

P80 P2 Subframe Bushing installation with pictures 3507923
Just completed installing 4 subframe bushings and new spring seats with genuine Volvo parts. Its a pretty straightforward job for those contemplating it. I didn't document the spring seat install as it is a simple process. Subframe bushings should take 3 or 4 hours with hand tools, nothing special r...

Re: Another key fob rebuild post?
I suppose it’s an intentional design, like the banjo bolt - keeps things interesting for us loyal folk who like DIYing ;) Nope, I don’t send anything anywhere. You need 1. A laptop, 2. Internet connection, 3. DiCE unit (ViDA software not needed nor is it used in this case). You provide him your VIN,...

Re: power steering not working , Steering is very tight.
Hey Exkodaker
I use any type fluid nothing changes. Sounds like the U joint on the steering shaft is getting tight, about $80. plus labor, seen it plenty with my Volvo fleet.
cheers

Re: Persistent Check Engine light, but no codes thrown - 2001 S60
What code reader are you using? If the CEL is on, there are codes present, but they could be TCM codes which trigger the CEL. You need a decent AUTEL high end like 500 series to get to these codes sometimes, or, of course, VIDA. Where are you in the Empire State? I code read for free, but I am isola...

Re: Persistent Check Engine light, but no codes thrown - 2001 S60
take a look at the fuel trims, with any exh and o2 issues it could be way off, it would explain some of your symptoms. I had an autel , cost me $240, it was good, I sold when I got VIDA. Whatever you get make sure it can erase an SRS light, cheap ones can't and its real easy to set the SRS light whe...

My code reader is a Volvo specific iCarSoft off Amazon, works well for my use and easy to keep in car vs a laptop.
