Re: Financial Distress Parts Pool

I have a '97 850 AWD in Eastern Ontario that I've been using as a parts car for some years. Anyone is welcome to any parts I've not already scavenged from it, or to the whole car itself if they can arrange transportation.

Re: Instrument cluster tire size change

I tried most of the "normal" combinations for the B901 from the list at jonesrh.info with no joy. The cluster refused to accept some of them (scanning the cluster after programming showed that the value hadn't changed) and others didn't make much of a difference. In desperation, I tried th...

Re: 97 850 GLT crank no start after very cold temps

Well, it's working again, but I couldn't tell you exactly why. We replaced the coil. We were going to put a few mls of oil in each cylinder, but after doing #1, the rubber boots from the IPD spark plug wires stayed on the plugs when the wire was pulled off. There didn't seem to be any way of removin...

Re: 97 850 GLT crank no start after very cold temps

Thanks. I did fill up the tank before the very cold night, but still might've had condensation especially since I have a large evap leak. I put in some Kleen-Flo gas line antifreeze, which I think is similar to HEET, but not until after the fact, so it probably couldn't get where it needed to go to ...

Re: Rusty Rockers

BlackBart wrote: 13 May 2025, 09:57 Looks like the exterior trim held the moisture and grime and salt in against the paint. Is this typical of what Ottawa roads do to cars?
Fairly typical, I think. Lots of cars on Ottawa roads with rusted rocker panels.
