Re: S60 Slow Acceleration

May I suggest replacing ATF? Hard acceleration happens with the torque converter not locked, so all of the engine torque is transferred through the ATF.

Idemitsu Type-TLS works well in this transmission.

Re: 2004 S60T AWD Rear exhaust bracket rusted

"I" is "Mk I" - the first generation of S60.

Re: PCV replacement on 05 xc70

My upper PCV is deteriorated in half. Is there a complete kit that includes all replacement pieces/parts that would be ideal to replace while “down in there?” https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-pcv-breather-system-kit-s60-turbo-s60turbopcvkit https://www.ipdusa.com/products/4991/115031-pcv-brea...

Re: Ignition whine in speakers

Solder black wire to the GND wire in the cable. The idea is to feed the +12v through the noise suppressor.

Re: Buyers Advice P2 vs P3

They had 3.2 replaced by the B5254T10/12 in the last couple of years for P3. I have T12 in wife's 2016 XC60, it is decent. Not as reliable as B5244S or even T2, though. Overall a short-term reliability would be probably higher, but long-term P3 rust way more and uses made in India SKF bearings every...

Re: SK Says: Here’s Why Old Volvos Last Forever

Old Volvo lasts forever, because its owner has a Stockholm syndrome and, apparently, some decent cash in pockets.

$24k in parts in 7 years.

Re: 2004 XC70 - Sluggish when compared to another 04 XC70?

If CBV is leaking, would I see/feel anything on the vacuum line coming off of it? Yes. Disconnect the hose from the TCV side and do the mouth vacuum test :) CBV is a royal PITA to remove on the car, but still doable (I did that a month ago). Also, can someone clear something up for me (I've not wor...

Re: PCV glove test not pulling or blowing

It should suck a lot while idling, since the vacuum goes through the inlet manifold, which has a lot of vacuum when not under the boost. Revving to 2k does little, since the ECU knows it's in parking, and the turbo is not developing any boost. To check that "under boost" PCV contour, which...

Re: Arduino Volvo Display Thread

Okay, folks. I got it working finally. Pardon my laziness: I work as a sw developer and doing more sw development in the second shift is much less relaxing than turning wrenches under old Volvo, which falls apart :) So it took longer than anticipated. Same git repo, the esp32 branch: https://github....
