This works on all CEMs to MY 2004, 10th place of VIN Y, 1, 2, 3 or 4. Re: Vida CEM swapping

CEM Data Manager.jpg I made this long ago for my self. It works, for me and i hope for anyone who needs it to copy his own CEM. For just changing config, better take the other tool and write only the config to your cem by dice... https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=85611&st...

Re: 2007 XC70 timing belt change. Do-able at home?

It’s easy and doable, you don’t need a cam tensioner nor do you need to remove the crank pulley. Just mark the old belt with a white marker and mark the index marks with white and transfer the marks to the new belt and away you go. Re: 2007 XC70 timing belt change. Do-able at home?

Ay- I did the belt, water pump ect on my 03 XC70 a couple of summers ago. It went fine for me. I did build my own cam lock thing, 4 bolts that indexed to gear notches. I marked the old belt with 2 dots of paint and transferred those dots to the new belt. It went well and the car started with no CEL....

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Had to run a heater on the foam overnight to thaw and dry. Forgot to snap an after picture...a coat of corroseal did a nice job sealing u...

Re: Vida CEM swapping

I have fantastic news. It all works...Finally. The CAN stuff at least. I could not get VIDA to work because of my socket code. But I managed to dump my maps in as little as 15-19 seconds. No need for K-line stuff, no "tester present" frames. I had to put all modules to sleep with FF86, the...

Thought I needed a transmission on a 2006 V70 but...

Got a call from daughter who was on the way home from college, the car (192k) stopped on the side of the interstate about 15 minutes away, she said it made a rattling noise and started slowing down. I go out there and it started easily but when I put it into drive it wouldn't move and made that ratt...
