Re: Check your Banjo PCV bolt

This forum posting for a disassembled PCV check valve banjo bolt was key for me to figure out what happened to my 2007 Ti S60 that had bad compression on cylinder 3. After a bunch of research, I opened the engine and found damage from the pin and ball: Piston_3_Damage.png Cylinder_3_Head_Valves.jpg....

Re: Glove Box "Absorber" - 2004 V70 2.5T

The chord is liable to breaking. It can be re-stringed but getting the correct tension takes a few attempts to get it just right The plunger isn't the easiest of items to dismantle, the bottom part of the plunger is tricky to separate and requires gentle persuasion. GB2.jpeg It took me several attem...

Re: '02 V70XC: TCM update + valve body questions

Okay, so surprising update: I decided there's no point in playing around with things any farther if I don't even have the latest software installed, so even though I was dubious it would have any effect, I paid for a VIDA 3-day subscription and bought the TCM update. (Vida 3-day: $80 or so, TCM upda...

Re: Import Cars Tariff 25% soon...

It has the same implications as in the UK when the population decided to have Brexit. Afterwards, when all the foreign nationals up and left, they suddenly realised it was not a good idea after all. Careful what you wish for! (and read the fine print!).

Re: Import Cars Tariff 25% soon...

It’s a common misconception that tariffs are based on ship point, when in fact it’s in origin and content of goods. Hint to my Red friends...

Re: Help! Bricked CEM, possibly other modules

SUCCESS I wish I could say exactly what was "the difference..." but I honestly don't know. I think your suggestion yesterday @vtl to pull the cable before closing the advanced dialog to remain in programming mode was the first key. Before that, it was just erroring out immediately, over an...

Re: 2007 Volvo XC70 - A/C Problems, Where to start...?

You will hear hissing in front of the dashboard during normal AC operation as the refrigerant equalizes pressure between high and low side , with the engine off. Any refrigerant leak you can hear will discharge the system in minutes.

Re: What year XC70 should I get as a daily?

I would not recommend to anyone to own xc70 as a daily car unless they are fully aware of what they are getting into. If we are talking station wagon from volvo as a daily driver on a budger-i would suggest regular P2 regular V70 preferably non turbo and non awd. Better invest Into set of great wint...
