Re: 98 v70 air con /heater issues
Fan life is about 20 years. You can test by removing glove box and applying 12 volts direct if you are electrically inclined.
Check fuses first of course.
The aftermarket TYC is decent and is about $100

Re: P1332 (Knock Sensor) and P0014 (Cam Timing) – Could This Be ETM Related? [1999 Volvo S70 GLT]
It’s really hard to get access to the throttle body on a turbo 99-00, it sits under the manifold with poor access. You will definitely want the fan out. After you have sworn up a storm removing the four rusty bolts for the fan with vice grips , replace with cheap silver cheese screws ftom Lowes Part...

Re: 2000 V70R for sale, (SOLD), Southeast Michigan
Drove the car home and found/fixed the main source of the growl; pass hub bearing. It was so loud I couldn’t hear the ds hub growling. That’s my next opportunity! Spenser sold me a great car with a lot of maintenance performed. It turned out timely because my Laser blue 00v70r m56 tranny blew up tw...

Re: 2006 XC90 2.5T - intermittent start issue
Clear the codes and see if they come back. If the coolant temperature sensor faults, the cold injection amount won’t be right and it won’t start. It will like start and run fine when warm.
Use the fuel pressure measurement to diagnose fuel delivery problem from the coolant sensor

Re: 2006 S60 2.5T AWD Parking Brake? Problem
Heres how it went for me, I figured its a 90 minute job. Jack the car up, forgot to break the lug bolts loose, lower the car again, got the bolts loose, jack the car up, place on jackstands, the wheel won't come off. Lower the car again and put the lugs in finger tight, drive the car back and forth...

Re: '99 S70 - ETM Replacement Troubleshooting
Check voltages and fuses to the ETM first. Inspect the wiring as best you can. One fault can generate multiple spurious codes so throwing parts isn’t the strategy. There is no substitute to VIDA for running a sweep test and testing the throttle for smooth operation of the blade and sensors, without ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Really nice clean junkyard, no parts lying around. That fuel pump relay bypass is fine for testing but you really shouldn’t run like that all the time. If the engine quits the relay turns off the pump whereas it will keep running with the wire, of course. A rollover crash would leave the pump dry an...

Re: car won't start. - 2009 - S60
You need 3 bar fuel pressure for the car to run do I think this is finding your problem. Can you get the car in a quiet place so you can listen for the fuel pump on key turning in, without starting?
