If the tone rings on the axle are rusty they will trigger abs sensor faults, so get the axles off and new tone rings on, about $5 each plus labour. You are in western Ny so they are all rusty

The knuckles are completely different. Removing the driveshaft (fore aft) on the first Gen AWD system (1998-2000) will not disable ABS. There are no electronics on the first Gen system. I’m 97% sure the axle shafts don’t hold the bearings in place on the AWD cars, so I think you can remove them and ...

I think removing the bolts from the axle shaft CV joints, two big rubber stoppers to keep the diff clean, and you are good to go.

Are the p2 engines more prone to cracked liners? Definitely pull head, I would say head gasket is much more likely

Yes in Colorado. With construction holdups and the hot temperatures ,Would like the fan on more. Volvo has designed it to come on when needed. It will run fine at 90c , then kick on at 105C in standstill traffic until the coolant temperature comes back to 90c. There is no reason to run it continuou...

Tool idea - how about a stepped tool to keep the wiper blades off the windshield during ice storms, with a sharp scraper blade on one edge for removing ice from glass?
The trick would be to make the size a snug fit under the cowl of a V70 so you can store them there.
