Re: Subframe Bushing installation with pictures

No don't worry about that, you only have to drop the subframe enough to get a spacer in between the subframe and the mainframe, about a quarter inch, make sure you do this otherwise the bushings will not seat fully. Note the orientation of the bushings before you take them out and put the new ones ...

Re: 2000-2008 AW55-50SN Valvebody re-assembly

I would suggest reviewing your decision to install an external transmission cooler until after rebuilding your solenoids. I just read your original post to try to figure out what is going on. Although heat is the enemy of transmissions, these cars were well engineered to properly dissipate heat adeq...

Re: Stalling out when going over bumpy road or shaking intake boot.

amblerman wrote: 08 Mar 2021, 17:38 does anyone have any idea if bad connection of the MAF plug while the engine is running would cause it to stall out?

Re: What causes a valve to "burn"?

Being a member of the burned valve club myself, I'm starting to think that we ought to be recommending replacing valve stem seals as preventive maintenance around 175 K miles for the white blocks.

Re: Alternator pulley—thoughts on solid?

I'm thinking I'll plan to get to it sometime over the next few weeks and install the OAD pulley on a weekend when I have a couple hours since I have an OAD sitting here, but won't rush as if it's life-or-death as the car doesn't particularly seem to mind. Impact tools are NOT recommended for pulley...

Re: Feels like it wants to stall

So I wanted to close out this thread with what ended up being the problem. After spending way way too much time going down different rabbit holes with no success, I threw in the towel and took the car in to a indy shop for diagnosis. The mechanic drove it with both ECU's and couldn't really explain ...
