The Weather Man finally gave me something besides monsoon or arctic, so I washed the container holding all my spare cash from the last year or so.
Just found the "R" badge I bought last spring. I think it's time.

Re: Replace the rear glass of a V 70 WAGON 1998
I seem to recall it involves removing a piece of trim just behind the passenger rear door at window level. Ah, Robert has an overview of it:

Re: water pump nightmare scenario
At the beginning I decided to scour youtube to see if there were any super clever tricks that I didn't know about. It turns out that there were. I would have had to borrow a wirefeed welder and I'm not sure if I could have done it in place because it's pretty close quarters. It was more likely I wou...

Re: 1999 2000 Power steering supply line repair, pressure line 9485359
Flare wrenches are essential for working on hydraulic line fittings. They are twice as deep as regular wrenches and wrap around the fitting, touching each face. This provides maximum contact on fittings which often stick or bend due to being soft metal. These crows foot flares have those same attrib...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
In the interest of helping others convince their partners of the sanity and normality of owning multiple Volvos (and other vehicles), I will add my fleet statistics: 10 Volvos (5 wagons) 11 Mercedes (2 wagons - I like wagons) 1 Smart 1 Honda 4 Fords (3 trucks and one 1938 Sedan) Total 27. Some all j...

Re: Diagnosing "Start Prevented, Try Again"
It was the key. Somehow the dead battery caused issues with the chip in the key. I ordered new blank ID48 chips from UHS-hardware.com for $3.50 each (I grabbed 4 because they were so cheap) then doublebug aka TotalAutoTech aka datatransfering.com aka a2zautolocksmith.com connected to my car remotely...
