Re: 1999 S70 GLT ETS sensor replacement related questions.

Ok. Almost 3 weeks later Permatex Ultra Blue has finally solidified. Car throttle pedal reaction feels different and so far RPM glitches did not show up. It looks like sensor replacement in my case is a fix of the problem.

Ian Tyson, 89, passes in Alberta

The first live music I ever saw was Ian and Sylvia, at a tiny little club in DC called The Cellar Door. I was in high school, with a fresh drivers license and no money, but their second album "Four Strong Winds" had just been released, and I had to go. (I should have led with picture inste...

Re: Mandated “Kill Switches”

Saw a tee-shirt once with the Lucas logo, and the script read "If Lucas made arms, wars wouldn't start."

Re: 98 V70 T5 brake pedal sinks *SOLVED*

**UPDATE took a week to get parts/bubble flare kit so I could cut and flare the V70 hard brake line today. Bit of a PITA but went well and NO LEAKS! Many years ago I had to run new hard break lines front to rear on a rusty 4runner actuator line, I posted my "pro tip" on a Toyota forum site...

Re: Butt Connectors Acceptable for Ignition Coil Harness?

COP conversion? Were you able to use the same ecu and valve cover? I already had an M4.4 conversion on the car. I purchased the COP conversion bin from VAST and modded an ECU per the instructions. The coils all bolt down to the N head, except you need to flip the #1 around and make a provision to b...

Re: 99/2000 V70xc wiring diagram needed.

Figured out the problem. It was having the right combo of parts in the car to make everything happy. 1st off, the 99 & 00 shifters are 100% different, only part shared between them is the shift cable. The shifter is different, and the shifter arm on the trans is different. The TCU is the same, b...

Re: 2004 XC70 remove steering rack - help with final steps

A pry bar adjusted by a ratchet clamp (for fore/aft movement) plus a floor jack under the engine (for up/down) (photo attached) allowed the engine mount to be aligned with the subframe. After reassembling everything and a driveway test drive the steering rack no longer leaks. Amazing. Can't do a rea...

Re: '02 V70 (Engine No.) ?

So, what useful difference is there between having the engine type (early -late) VIN... versus engine # . What can be gained by knowing that number?
