If this is a naturally aspirated car, then PCV failure usually causes vacuum in the crankcase. NA cars have a different PCV system design than turbo cars. The splatter on the valve cover looks like positive pressure, but as noted positive pressure would not normally result in lots of dirt getting in...

There's no LIN on that board specifically. The board is purely passive switches. Seat switches behave identically to the prior board. Memory switches either pull up to 12V or (more likely) pull down to ground. Based on the diagnostic technique discussed in prior posts, can you take a stab at tracing...
