Re: 1987 245 Daily Driver Project

Consider:
Driveshaft U-joints and center bearing condition. There is a rubber support in the center bearing that may have sagged.
Brake hoses (as mentioned above).
Silicone sealer does not last well as a windshield sealer. I tried it. Butyl rubber may be better.

Re: 1987 245 Daily Driver Project

The Volvo wagon will be much more solid and has room to sleep in the back with the seat folded. Try that with a Corolla or Civic.
Reman fuel injectors are available for about $35 from FCP. They have good ratings.
Do you have a paper repair manual yet?

Re: Broken Gas Door Hinge Fix

My local Ace Hardware has some removable plastic rivets with a pin that might work for attachment. They are in several sizes. I used some on the front bumper support.

To give some context to these changes, I have calculated the average growth rate for each week back to April. The growth rate is calculated as the number of n...

Re: Coronavirus Thread

My daily coronavirus reports are becoming a bit 'old news'. But this thread still gets about 30 to 50 views per day. Some of that is for sure bots. I keep doing it because it is of interest to me and I think it provides some consistent content on the trends.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

That looks great!
My cars sit outside in the southern sun and have lost most of the clear coat. No amount of polishing will make them shiny and bright. I just aim for well used patina and good maintenance.
