It is a common problem for higher mileage P2 Volvos. Most people seem to remove the anti theft feature and don't replace all the switch.

Spend some rewarding time searching this forum for each of the issues the shop recommends you repair and you think may be needed. You will learn a lot if you have the knowledge to understand the information. I am encouraged that you have this knowledge since you posted an extended list with details....

Make the alternator repair soon, or the high voltage will ruin the battery and maybe other electrical devices including bulbs.

Many sealants are self vulcanizing and contain acetic acid. You can tell from the vinegar smell. Once at a work place, self vulcanizing sealant was used to seal a lid on a steel tank. Later all of the internals of the tank were found rusting.
