Re: Permanent removal of rear seat, 2006 Volvo XC70
I have removed my 2001 V70 rear seats for repairs. As I remember, they are very light. Not much weight to be saved, but if you want more room, even folded they take up considerable storage space. With no passengers besides my wife, my seats is always folded down. The same way I used my 1975 and 1983...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I realize I’m very car-nerdy, but I love new tires. I love shopping for tires, reading about tires, comparing tires, and putting them on. (Paying for them - not so much) Do you want the $500 tire with maybe 10,000 mi of tread life, worthless in anything but warm and dry, or the $80 Chinese tire tha...

Re: 98 V70 trailer
Be very careful using cement blocks to support things like cars and engines. Results like shown in your photos - broken. High risk of personal injury. Best to use wood blocks or jacks.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Finally reinstalled the cylinder head on the 850. Just waiting on the coolant pipe gasket, which I thought I had, but apparently I didn't. I didn't think my lower back could handle leaning in and setting the head in place, so.... IMG_20250914_102530819_HDR.jpg I like this photo. Massive chain hoist...

Re: 1995 Volvo 960 sedan 233xxxkm No Crank/No start
The photos and label look to me to be an after market remote start device. It may still be connected but failed and preventing start. Have you looked at wires behind the toggle switch? I would try to trace and disconnect any wires coming from this switch. A quick search for Command Start Remote star...

Re: '91 240 Wagon Won't Start Intermittently
I think our original poster has moved on after one post.
Not a problem. Our information will still be useful for other 240 and 740 Volvos.
