Re: Help with powering S60 seat -- Not in a Car
Finally got around to finishing the seat. I ended up removing the slider mechanism and ordering a shorter cylinder for the office chair base to lower the seat height a bit. Then I used some 1 inch ply and some L brackets to mount it to where the slider had been attached. I had to trim down the metal...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
This doesn't apply to what I did to 'my Volvo' but moreso what I did with a few p80 parts that no one seems to want. My computer setup is the most important part of my apt besides my bedroom. With a Volvo wagon lineup as my monitor background, I might as well finish the job right? Hung up both v70 g...

Re: The Resurrection of (10/1998 to 01/2021 )Elizabeth 1999 V70T5M56 Cylinder Head Job
I was impressed. And they never dumped the fuel, which is interesting. Over a city, not high enough, no time? Or no need, as it was flying just fine on one engine as designed? But heavy, right, with a non-stop to Hawaii? Speaking as a layman here - The way that engine was shaking in the mounts, may...

Maintenance Log: 205k-270k s70 rebuild before being totaled
I'm writing this to have a proper maintenance log of my 99 S70 - NA m56 transmission. I've made plenty of panic threads where I've learned a lot from the community, and a couple where I've shared what I've done. It's also an exercise in sharing my own experience in sunk-cost bias, and naive obsessiv...

Re: 850 Blue Bird
It sounds like you are doing late in life education. Is this a new education effort or a type of continuing training to maintain relevance? I have been working on classes to meet ongoing education needs for engineering license. volvolugnut Hy Volvolugnut, It's a kind of "style of exercice"...
