Re: Cancer/illnesses, and caregiver, support thread
Got my car up and running again on Monday, and have driven it both Monday and Tuesday this week. Still have limited range of motion in my knees, but I'm able to drive with both feet (thankfully it's an automatic) without any issues. I've been trying to get outside more, and walk as much as I can. I ...

Re: Protecting fuel lines from engine heat
I agree that it probably isn't necessary, however if you want to add some sort of shielding, I would probably use that reflective aluminum wrap, similar to what you see on AC and power steering lines.

Re: Front Sway Bar Moving
Nope, the welds stay. The sway bar may be weakened, but PU bushings typically wear out quickly, so sway bar won't work as as good as the stock one (when it workedvolvolugnut wrote: ↑26 Feb 2022, 11:22 It is a bad idea to weld to springs. The metallurgy will be changed and weakened. And the weld is likely to fail anyway.

Re: 1999 ---> 2.5T Oil Filter Tool Recommendation
A lot of mechanics don't understand the concept of "torque"... They think the tighter is better, not true. True and agree! Many people don't pay attention or thought high school Physics was not important. I didn't think so and though the teacher was not likeable either he was very good an...

Re: Cancer/illnesses, and caregiver, support thread
My legs are getting stronger by the day, and I'm able to "walk" a little without any help from anyone/anything. My right ankle still won't bend normally, so I can't get that heel on the floor while standing or walking but I'm still doing what I can. Range of motion in my knees is still abo...

Re: Polar - something we North Americans don't see
From Google:
From MY 1993 on, in Italy all 940 estates were badged "Polar" (engine B200F) or "Super Polar" (engine B200FT).

Re: Cancer/illnesses, and caregiver, support thread
I have my first PT appt coming up on Monday. I'm a little scared about what they might have to do to loosen up my knees to regain full range of motion, but I'm hopeful that whatever they do helps me. I don't care about being in pain afterwards as long as I can still walk and drive enough to get home...

AWD stainless origami 1387592
The original rear caliper protectors on my S70 AWD were getting pretty sad,, meaning pretting friggin rusty! You know when they're so rusty that they really have no integrity left and should be tossed? Yeah that rusty. So I had a little some spare time and 304 stainless so i whipped up a couple new ...
