Re: 2007: Volvo S40, N/A, White, 121K, 5-speed

Scrap metal price is in the weeds so there is no squeeze left after towing costs. The good news is parts cars are living longer in junkyards. I hope you knew that the 1998 doesn’t need emissions in NY anymore? All my 99s just went exempt

Re: Non-Volvo car chat megathread

BlackBart wrote: 01 Nov 2024, 11:11 What happens to those cars full of wet salty sand?
They drop in value from $1.8M to $1.7M.

I'll do the sand removal for $750k, it goes back up in value to $1.8M, and everybody's happy.

Re: Let's play Name That Car

It's an Aston Martin Rapide S. Very elegant, very expensive, and I don't think they made many.

Thanks for the Help! Good thing i found this place.

Re: Cause of sudden failure of multiple coil packs - '04 V70 na

The 8 mm bolt that keeps the coil at the valve cover is actually its high-voltage ground. Without that ground the coil burns. If you keep the ground contact in good shape those coils almost never die. Really? I mean the engine has one massive ground connection at the valve cover to the chassis, and...

Re: Cleaner for brake pressure bleeder - what to use?

Sorry, I was not clear. The brake push bleeder system has to be cleaned after use. They expressly say not to leave fluid in it and to clan on completion with de-natured alcohol. This is what I have: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mvp-0107?srsltid=AfmBOooWuc-C8xAuJzetijkqACjhVRLWYKndyWUvEkpNJo1Cc...
