DIY: 98 V70 Brake Hydraulic Overhaul (Hoses, Seals, Parking)
DIY: Brake Hydraulic System Overhaul (Brake Hoses, Caliper Seals/Dust Boots) I just rebuilt my 1998 Volvo V70 Brake Hydraulic System Overhaul: Overhaul Brake Hoses, Caliper Seals/Dust Boots. While there I replaced the Parking Brake Shoes as well. My experience shows that after 12-14 years/100-120K ...

DIY FPR vacuum line replacement
I was out looking around in the engine compartment (97 855 GLT with ~162k miles) for opportunities to fix something this morning. I've already replaced most of the vacuum lines in the car, but I found a short crumbly vacuum connector that I had overlooked the last few times I checked the car. This c...

This is a quick write up to show how I built a new positive battery cable for my ‘97 855 GLT (~172k miles). Re: OBDII Scanner or Vida basics
I believe the kicker is obtaining a copy of the program. Illegal pirated copies frequently don't load well. Only a few who've torn their hair out have posted their woes. I'd bet the majority of those who've been stung keep it to themselves. Read this. There is over 14,000 people who have done it, l...

Re: 1999 S70 Key - Dealer for getting a spare?
You can tape it inside the steering wheel cover so it isn't visible for security.
No one steals a car with a key anymore , they just flatbed it away.

Re: MAF Sensor on 1998 V70 non-turbo BAD?
Could be a Maf connector too....they are prone to failure...and they give you intermittent problems.
You will need a small precision screwdriver to close the gaps on the connector.
If that doesn't help...it's the Maf.

Goal - as we do our DIY jobs, document the size of Orings so we can find the right one...

Re: SC-816 Head Unit Antenna Question
Both of the antennas in the rear side glass use power amps. Since your new unit probably doesn’t support dual antenna diversity tuning like the Alpine/OEM unit, the big one will do. Just make sure that you connect the power antenna connection from the adapter harness to the mating output on the new ...
