Maybe u put back the wrong kind/amountof fluid? Not sure how sensitive these trannys are when it comes to that, but sounds like one of the first things to try. Especially if it ran fine before the drain n fill?

my zips has been holding up for at least a couple of years. more like 3-4 I think. And I bought them at HF!

Was it diagnosed to have a bad sensor? You need to get the codes and put em in this thread if you want more help. Codes preferably pulled using a volvo scanner and not a generic OBD2 reader, even though it's better than nothing.

Here's a picture of how deep my seal sits. I borrowed a Volvo OE tool to seat it.

I wasn't aware that compression test should be done at wot so I decided to do one again before tearing into the head gasket job today. # 1 cyl cold was 100; added a cap full of oil and it went up to 140. Now I'm beginning to think that I have a ring issue. If that's the case should I even bother do...
