Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
I had the same problem a while back. The tool is not sturdy enough and finally just opens up and spin. Think I just bought a new one from Autozone. Worked like a charm.

Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
I bought a Tekton socket last year in January (2021), and that worked great -- did not open up or spread noticeably while removing the old O2 sensor. It was a TEKTON 3/8 Inch Drive x 7/8 Inch Offset 6-Point Oxygen Sensor Socket, part number 47749. Only cost $8 at that time, now $11 in Oct 2022.

Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
I've used a hose clamp on O2 sensor tools, to help keep them from spreading apart for really stubborn sensors.

Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
15097 is what I bought for my 1996. It works fine. I don't recall if there were any physical differences between the original and new, or not. I didn't watch the video mentioned, although I did watch one of Robert's videos before doing the job. The connectors are definitely not what I'm used to using.

15097 is the direct, factory replacement - that's the one to get.

Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
On my '96, i think I just removed the MAF inlet tube so I had better access, but I'm not sure if you need to. The two o2 sensor plugs hang out around the heater hose cam sensor area. Just follow the wire from below. The plugs have a red top sliding lock set-up. You just slip a small screw driver bet...

Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
Thanks very much, I watched Robert's video again and I do see what you're saying. Okay I think we're ready to do it. Thanks again everyone! +1 on the Abscate Mantra, propane is fine, you're not trying to melt anything, just get its attention so it will accept more juice and release the rust grip. S...

Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
I read about how experts watch the voltage from the O2 sensors in their scan tools in order to determine if there is anything wrong with them. I know nothing about how to do this and was wondering if there's a video anywhere showing what to look for and how to diagnose problems with O2 sensors. Sea...

Re: 850 Rear Brake Repair - AGAIN - Tips
Pete, I’ve ordered and received rear piston seals and boots from Skandix courtesy of manov in France, who saves me $120 in shipping. Let me know if you are interested in rebuilding. Usual caveat about 850 to v70 rear brake compatibility applies.
