Re: LED Headlamp options

I posted this on another list; LED (and HID) bulb retrofits = bad. If you need LED, you need a complete assembly, like from JW Speaker. The very short point is that for a light assembly to work right, what with the exact positioning of the filament in the bulb and the exact positioning of the bulb i...

Re: Looking for XC60 buying advice

Yes the 2.0 drive e is sufficient in FWD. AWD T6 is mandatory if you expect to feel like you are driving a turbo Volvo. As I mentioned above Premium required. So test driving a car you really feel serious about get as much Premium in the tank as possible to get a feeling of the actual power otherwis...

Re: Looking for XC60 buying advice

If you get a 16 up XC90 or 18 up XC60 look for this dash. It is optional. Also here is the autostart button. On the old XC60 it is a actual button in front of the gear shifter. June

Re: Looking for XC60 buying advice

i had several XC60 models as company cars 2010-2018. I own a 2010 T6 R Design. The 2.0 4 cylinder Drive-E family engines have 8 speed automatics. The t5 ersion with AWD will jump off the line and stay neck and neck with the 5 cylinder 2.5T/ 6 speed auto in that car the brief time they did the 5 cyli...

Actually the drive E powertrain came standard with a 7 speed transmission and a optional 8 speed. At least through the 18 year models. June

There was TF80SC 6 speed launched with the V8 in 2005, P2 R models beginning 2006, then 3.2 inline short 6 cylinder in 2007. P3...

Re: Looking for XC60 buying advice

I have been in this 18 XC60 service loaner for a week so I popped by the dealer today and noticed the dash map has a cute Volvo marker! I could not resist sharing a picture! They have not even touched my car so I likely will have this XC the rest of the week. It really is growing on me, but I can't ...

Re: "SERVICE" light comes on but no codes

That's just a reminder to perform scheduled maintenance, especially an oil change. I believe it pops up every 5000 miles or thereabouts. (I just track of the mileage in the maintenance log and usually end up turning the light off BETWEEN oil changes.) Reset procedure per IPD's web site: 2001 Volvo S...

Re: "SERVICE" light comes on but no codes

I'll find the reset procedure and link to it Ah, chrism beat me to it. Known as the tennis light, since it lets you know if there is a fault, a double fault, or if you are courting disaster. You can search the net for a matching thread, but don't let the dealer charge you to reset it, that's a ......
