Re: Removing rear delta link end link bushing, jack up one side of the car?
I plan to use heat together with the tool. My second question after reading about this operation: You need to undo the lower shock absorber mounting, right? Don't bother with the heat. It has never worked for me. Attacking it with a drill across the top is usually enough to get it to break free. (I...

Re: Removing rear delta link end link bushing, jack up one side of the car?
You can jack one side of the car and do one side at a time. Both rear wheels don't need to be off the ground to replace a delta link. I guess was never answered. :P To avoid fighting the the rear sway bar, you might loosen/disconnect it on the PS side of the car, but other than that, one side at a ...

Re: 1997 Volvo 850 GLT Engine Swap
Was the AC working on the '97 GLT with the ARD tune? Was it actually an M4.4 upgrade? When we were doing an ECU swap in the wife's '97 GLT (Which is actually M4.4) using the VolvoSpeed 98MY M4.4 flashable bins, there were AC issues (As in it didn't work). The '97 GLT AC routines were different from ...

Re: P80 V70 side marker light
When I put the XC70 nose on my '97 850, I installed the side repeaters.

I had to splice in at the wiring at the front corner lights.
If I recall correctly, your wire colors are correct.

Re: 1998 V70 GLT 19T Build
Is this a B2524T motor? I've got one that's supposedly a '99 motor. (They used them for 97-99) going into my '78 240. How do you plan to mount a white block in the 240? Rear or front drive? Transmission? volvolugnut I won't hijack his thread with details, but it's not too terribly difficult to moun...

Re: '98 V70 T5 won't start, P0301 & P0304
So, did you ever check out the coolant temp sensor? I don't see that as causing the car to die while running, but I had one give me fits on my '97 T5. (EDIT - thinking back, it did stumble and die on me once, before I fixed it) Car was hard to start, would run rough, etc. It eventually backfired/pop...

Re: 850 Sway bar bushing replacement
The IPD front bars have stops welded onto them and are supplied with poly bushings. I have poly bushings on the R bars in the wife's 855. I've noticed a knocking sound that I've traced to the sway bar translating a bit in the bushings. I'm going to grab some 2-piece shaft clamp collars and install t...

Re: ECC UNIT WILL NOT COME OUT, 1996 850 Turbo
Yeah, they're stubborn, but they just pop out of the dash as you push them from behind.

Re: ECC UNIT WILL NOT COME OUT, 1996 850 Turbo
I've used plastic putty knives or the like as prying implements on the front sides of the unit, to get really stubborn ones to move.
You just have to use a light touch, so as to not damage the dash surround.
