Re: P80 V70 side marker light

That part inside the fender is a purge solenoid, I just pulled that piece off of my cousin's '98 V70. I had never seen one in the fender like that before! Your car wouldn't be pre-wired for the side markers, you'll need to run the wires back for it. Just splice it into the harness for the front turn...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

abscate wrote: 24 Dec 2019, 20:09 Is that Nautic Blue 417 or Black?

Looks like Clava 16 inch wheels, nice and neat.
That color looks incredible in person... matches the Neptunes very nicely!

1998 V70 GLT 19T Build

It's time to see my first Volvo make some power! I'm not one to do "build threads", but I figured for this car, I had to post something. Once my V70R moves up to the K24, I'll probably post a big one (and maybe detail the manual swap process), but we'll see how that goes! As some of you kn...

Re: 1998 V70 GLT 19T Build

Scheduled for inclusion to the Volvo Repair Databse VRD. No, it’s not a repair... it’s better  Great mods list, 1198. That Volvo will move. Oh yeah, it should be quick! I can't wait to drive it and get to tuning! Little update... not too much today, I was preoccupied by selling my Miata (s...

M56 manual transmission Swap: The Ultimate Parts List

Now that I've completed two manual swaps on P80s, I think it's time to make an up-to-date list of parts that you will need to do this swap. Keep in mind, this isn't a writeup on the swap itself... there are a few already that do a great job of showing the process (polskamafia mjl on here, for one!),...

Re: M56 Swap: The Ultimate Parts List

If I can help out someone doing a manual swap, my job is done! I love being able to find a complete list that isn't scattered information from 12 years ago.

Re: Why do you (still) drive a P80?

The seats - all of them, and all the heaters.
Most importantly, the heated 3rd row seats.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Probably something simple, but a pain to pinpoint. That's usually the case with boost issues!

Re: 1998 V70 GLT 19T Build

FINALLY got it running smoothly tonight! I had some issues with it running rough, and after Calvin (Sovvagn Motorwerks, the tuner) adjusted the cold start program, it eventually smoothed out. I spent over an hour on the phone with Calvin getting my laptop set up to actually flash the updated tune fi...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Well I unplugged my TCV electrically, which should directly link the red and yellow vacuum hoses. Now I get progressive boost to about 3psi with no spikes at all. So either my new TVS is defective or my original one was defective and I didn't notice it because my wastegate actuator is not adjusted ...
