Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
This is becoming a regular thing... IMG_6760.JPG Believe it or not, this is the first time the engine is out of this car. Thanks, certainly seems plausible. Pulled apart the knackered caliper today, both pots are completely clean and free of rust/lips. One side of the caliper was sticking due to the...

Re: Volvo Findings! (What have you found on Craigslist?)
The back seat space in the S60 really is laughable. It's fine for small kids, but anyone taller than that would be pretty uncomfortable.

Re: 850 Manual Shift Knob and Boot
Does anybody know if this fits a S70? I know the color is different but that would be ok. I think it will, but I know there are compatibility differences year to year on these shift knobs. I feel like you can use the -1998 style like this on the newer cars, but not the other way around. I would loo...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Nice! Yeah, I'm sure the back will tighten up nicely with a little work. Glad to see them going to good use!

Re: Volvo Findings! (What have you found on Craigslist?)
Looks good overall. Maybe a little expensive for the mileage, but not too crazy. It’s a V8 Sport, those are pretty rare. Those are the Sport 19” wheels. My mom’s has the same ones. I’d be going over it with a fine tooth comb... timing cover/valve cover leaks, alternator/idler/tensioner noise, balanc...

Re: Replace a S70 with a S60 2.5T
S60s are good cars, not much different than the P80s as far as maintenance goes. 2004 is about the oldest year S60 I would recommend, the earlier ones had a lot more issues with the transmissions, among other things. I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage, 182k isn't too high for these. However...
