Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

454cid wrote: 10 Nov 2023, 18:56 I'm confused on all this engine mount fixing.... is this a cheap fix for the sake of budget, or is a suitable replacement part no longer available?
From what I can tell just an experiment. The part is available and pretty cheap.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

You can find the connectors at auto stores usually, or Amazon. You'd just need to cut back the wires a little and splice in the new ones.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Oh, I have made steel tabs at one point and JB welded them to the corner light to slide into the side of the headlight. It took way longer than it should have, but the solution worked until I found a good used light that still had the tabs in tact.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Successfully removed my ventilated tire off the rim and replaced it with a new Goodyear, but I couldn’t get the bead to seat. The ratcheting strap around the outer edge of the tire didn’t work, and the starter fluid method worked on one side until I tried to stamp out the flames and unseated it. Th...

Folks live 10 minutes from the LKQ. Just saw it a couple of months ago after driving 70 for these many years .

It's worth a stop! Any LKQ yard usually has a decent selection, but occasionally high prices.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

A new throttle cable makes all the difference. I can't stand a stiff, gritty feeling pedal.
