Re: Retrofitting fog lights

The Grey 104/108 relay does have an extra connector than stock green one. I pulled another J relay, from under dash, but don't know if its different. There is a plug behind the panel next to rear fog light switch, Plugs for fog lights are near front valance. You need special trim like the one I foun...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Finished getting junkyard fog light retrofit done on '98 S70 T5. Two different pick n pulls and weeks to find all parts. Did use the grey relay and two jumpers as per Robert video. Only left side has correct trim piece as I cut the right one. Possibly lucked out that bulbs were good. 20250506_124155...

Stripped AC drier threads taking hose 9171319 off

Had to put torch to it and a lot of muscle like others, but it finally came off stripping the old threads.
Now hose won't thread on new drier.
Any options other than buying new hose?

Got old hose off

Had to remove dipstick and used a shorter handle 3/8 socket wrench with a deep socket over it and an extension on the socket to get leverage. Because I opened the drier I got an Amazon suction hose that came the next day. Got that on put it on the vacuum for an hour, let it sit overnight and no leak...

Re: M56 noise V70 1998

"Clutch is worn. Does not slip but engages pretty late" I had a new 1999 C70 HT Manual. When i picked it up at the dealer the owner told me the clutch on these engages at the top and quickly after that. He was right. Fast forward I recently bought a 1998 s70 T5 manual with 157k miles and i...

Re: More A/C fun with 1998 T5

Started over using new orings and the tool to open up the spring lock which you can see in photo is now over drier lip. Probably not needed, but added safety strap. Vacuumed it out and let it sit overnight with gauge. Lost 2 psi!😞. Found original yellow orings in garbage, repeated whole process and ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Drove the 1998 T5 Manual 1300 miles round trip from Sacramento to St. George Utah. No problems, 25-28 MPG driving 72-78 mph and mostly at 4000 ft elevation with many passes at 6500-7700. Hit 159k miles on the way there. Thought I used 3/4 qt on way there, so added a full qt for drive back thinking i...
