Re: How rare is it? 2001 V70 T5M
My 2001 V70T5m "had" cloth seats, no heated seats or headlight wipers. It was silver with a cargo rack and the 16" Metis wheels. Sunroof and the variable rear view mirror and the message panel that told the mpg. I forget what radio was in it, but would guess it had a cd player. The cl...

Re: Oil leakage
On my 2001 V70, there were "about" two bolts on that side of the oil pan that the female threads went thru the engine block. These are the bolts that must get doped up with sealant or oil could leak back to the bolt head. I would imagine that leak would show on the bolt head. BTW, I doped ...

Re: V70 wheel and tire size
My 2002 V70 2.4t has 17" Amalthea wheels and Michelin tires. Looks great, but my 2001 V70 2.4t with 16" Metis wheels and Michelin's takes the Pa. bad roads better. The Metis 16" wheel is a little wider and takes a 215/55/16. I said better, not great. 15 incher's would give the softer ...

Re: Volvo 2.5T AWD 2003 Automatic delay 3 to 4
I'd just drive it and let it relearn. Try to "feather" the gas pedal, if you think your on a section of road where a shift flare might happen. Hopefully it will get better. I read somewhere that the relearning can take some time.

Re: Yet another 2001 volvo question
I'm 4 years into owning a 2001 V70 2.4t with the original neutral/stop function. At 181,000 miles, it works perfect. If I was an aggressive driver, or like most normal "todays" drivers, I can see where rapidly jumping from the brake pedal to hitting the gas pedal would eventually cause mor...

Re: Magnefine Filter for 2006 s60 AWD
A couple of drain and fills gets the transmission fluid more "red", and you get to clean the magnet on the plug. My Volvo's get a drain and fill once a year during an engine oil change. Its pretty basic, but should help the cars transmission life span. Today, I'm doing a 300+ mile fall fol...

Re: Is timing off??
My former 2001 V70 T5 went about 4 days after a timing belt change before it threw a code. The shop said one of the cams was off one tooth. Ran better after that.

Re: 2007 V70 2.5t Transmission Fluid Level
I only check my transmission fluid after about an hour of running. I pull over to a perfectly flat spot with the engine running, and put it in park. Pull the stick out and clean it completely, and put it back in and pull it out to check the level. All while the engine is running. Not fun or easy. On...

Re: 2007 V70 2.5t Transmission Fluid Level
Not sure if there's an official drain and fill quantity, but I use 3 and 1/3 Quarts as my amount. Then I check it like I mentioned above. Very little oil is needed to go from the low mark to the high mark. All I know from many drain and fills is, 3.7 quarts and a bottle of Lubeguard is overfilled. S...

Re: Outter TIe rod replaced now out of alignment
If your wagon, before you touched it, drove with the steering wheel straight up and down while driving straight..........then if you replaced ONE tie rod end, the steering wheel would probably be off after the replacement of ONE tie rod end. Then you start adjusting the tie rod until the steering wh...
