Re: No start - Running out of options

SOLVED.
Solution was found on the site here on a post by Tonyx back in 2013.
Just a bad connection of the green wire at the bottom of the starter solenoid.
Wooooohoooo!
Thanks for the input, all.

Re: Bearing(?) noise during left turns?

It has all the hallmarks of a bad bearing...
Not occurring when turning the wheel to the right.
That screams to me bad bearing. Been there, done that.

Re: Random no-start/no-crank

The battery is from 2015, so I was thinking to just replace that, but I'm not sure thats the only issue. If you do a lot of short trips ans/or do not drive the car much. The battery maybe Sulfated. Leave it on a float charger when the car is at home for the next 3 - 4 weeks. Also clean the battery ...

Re: Random no-start/no-crank

You could lug the battery out of the car and trickle charge it inside...

I know, not palatable for this low-med. level of annoyance, but there it is either way.

Re: Random no-start/no-crank

I would open the glove box and watch the light in there as I'm turning the start key. If the light dims way down in response to turning the key to start, you need a new battery. If the light stays bright while you turn the key to start (and no starter motor action), you need a new ignition switch.

Re: MIJ's Intermittent Reverse Lights tutorial???

I clicked on an old thread from 2009 but the link no longer works. Ozark Lee posted it. Here is the non-working link: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/13/transmission-driveshaft-bevel-gear-pnp-alignment-without-the-tool/ Sorry about that, SA. Link fixed. Also, the VRD posts tagged "PNP" ...
