Re: One caliper hard to bleed

Hey, welcome to MVS, antwerx1024! There's probably rust and grit inside of it... Those are pretty afford...

Re: 98 S70, N/A Replacing broken radiator drain petcock

abscate wrote: 23 Apr 2018, 20:30 Ray...best plan is to put a bead of JB weld on it and leave it in place. Drain radiator from lower rad hose. These things are just too easy to snap.

Re: Ready mount struts.

They are definitely much easier to install. I am still averse to these but people have been trying them for a few years now and they seem to last OK. Re: rear motormount: how do I get it out?

I've done this on two P80s: - Jack both the oil pan (with a piece of wood underneath) and the transmission (with a piece of wood underneath. - Disconnect side engine mount, lower torque mount, and upper torque mount while you jack away - Keep things level (i.e., this jack, then that jack...) go slow...

S70, N/A,flash of ABS/TRACS light...[old dead battery]

What's going on here... Did a long drive the other day, approximately 175 miles back and forth to NJ. (Waved hello at a fella driving a grey S70 in Morristown, he didn't wave back...) Getting on the GWB, heard this weird sound, whining/groan at low speeds. Didn't hear anything on the highway at full...

Re: S70, N/A, 5-Speed: Sporadic low speed wheel noise + sudden flash of ABS/TRACS light...

Thanks for the reply jdloden. Yeah, I need to get that battery replaced. Worst case scenario, my car dies and I give it to my brother to use in one of his three P80s...

When's the next party? :) In all seriousness, we should get a park permit and plan an MVS barbecue this summer.

I was going to say something a little closer to NYC and to 84 so folks from CT, Northern Jerse and PA can get there without having to go anywhere near NYC... James Baird Park? Are we really going to do this????? :) Update: Car passed inspections with flying colors! Figured I should buy something fro...

Re: DIY: Build your own positive battery cable for the 850

Has anyone tried battery cables from BatteryCablesUSA?

The 30" version of this is coming in around $17...

I'm thinking this is the way to go...

Anyone have the lengths and the gauge of the other cables?

In case anyone is curious about how long you have to crank it when you've "lawnmowered" your engine...
