Re: Oil on TB tensioner pulley
I would just run it and watch it each month. These timing belts are tough and if it isn’t wet with oil, no damage done.

Re: Oil on TB tensioner pulley
If there is no oil on the teeth side of the belt or on the pulleys, then +1 to what abscate says. Maybe just leave the cover off so you can easily monitor. Are you sure the oil is coming from there and not transferring from somewhere else? The issue is when the oil gets on the toothed side of the be...

Re: Inner fenders on or off?
It's much better on. Just add extra rust protection and put it back. Without it the protection gets blasted off easily.

Otherwise the use of a wobble extension and ...

Re: Stuck during timing belt job
Glad you got it taken care of! If you really wanted to, you could remove the remains of that bolt and replace it, but I don't think it will hurt anything to hold that shield on with one screw.

Re: Transponder key and immobilizer theory
If the replacement ECM does not have the Immo feature enabled then you are good. The Immo is a communication that acknowledges the code of the Immo control unit inside car is the approved one and the Immo then communicates that the key is an approved key (Read by the antenna send and receive activit...

Re: Transponder key and immobilizer theory
I don't know details but skilled tuner/flasher will know how to fool it...but...either way...Immo unit MUST be in place and connected!
