Re: 96 850 N/A no start issue.
With the fuel pump, you should hear it priming when you turn the ignition key to POSII. It may help to have someone doing that while you are near the fuel filler as you have a better chance of hearing it. If you hear nothing and/or press the Schrader valve on the fuel rail after switching on and get...

Re: 2000 V70 dim headlights
. The shroud should be removed with either the Halogen or LED. The Halogen has a painted tip while LED in most instances do not have a round lens at the tip unless it's a really low Lumen bulb. Any LED upgrade will be bright to oncoming drivers as the reflector were not made with an OEM designed bea...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Replaced the seized rear brakes in the Silver Bullet with new Pagid pads and rotors, as well as Cardone-refurbished calipers, which appeared to have a lightly applied gray-beige powder coating. IMG_1470.jpeg IMG_1471.jpeg Don't spray the rotors with any brake cleaner just wipe with alcohol if neede...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
A new H6 Interstate battery (why do they spec the smaller H5 with lower CCA and a higher price?) You got me curious since the battery in my 850 is an H5 and the battery in my S70 is something that doesn't quite fit if I want to use the hold down. I haven't replaced it, since it was installed shortl...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
It is an alternate size. For warmer climates the larger battery is not needed typically. For colder climates we need the larger battery to turn the car over when really cold! Volvo typically sells you the H5 for P80's.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
. Purchased tires for the 00 S70. It's suppose to use 205/50/16 but the rims are from the 07 S60 2.5T and came with 205/55/16. They barely rub the inner fender liner so staying with the 55 series. Hope the new struts will increase the height and help with the rubbing or I will install some 10mm spac...

Re: Any advice to troubleshoot this coolant leak?
Water pump typically only leaks in the early days of leaking, when the car is started from cold, or when cooling after driving. With the heat the weep hole may dry off so don't dismiss the water pump based on where the leak is showing. As suggested a pipe or cracked header tank would be your other c...

Re: Any advice to troubleshoot this coolant leak?
Coolant header tank is the opaque bottle on the RHS fender by the RHS hood hinge. Where you fill the coolant. These are known to crack with age. Can be anywhere, but if you lift the coolant tank and the power steering tank (be careful the coolant level sensor is on a short lead under the tanks), and...
