Re: New wheel bearing feels notchy
Resistance is ok on a new one as it will feel somewhat tight. But the 'notchy' bit may not be ok. That might imply a defect of either a bearing or race that wasn't caught by QA. You might call FCP customer service. Describe what you're feeling and see what they say. They may say that's normal for a ...

Re: Front end clunk... Anyone tried these ?
Does the position of the steering wheel or front end handling change from clunk to clunk? Those subframe bush inserts address play that can develop where the subframe doesn't stay put laterally. When the rubber inside subframe mounts get soft the vehicle will wander around the road instead of travel...

Re: P0101 in cold weather only
I would also put the throttle body on the suspect list. The internal nylon gears could possibly be worn. In my experience with this type of failure it acts up in cold weather and will set DTCs for the MAF. The ECU seems to ignore the TPS which indicates a part open throttle plate that isn't returnin...

Re: Trouble Finding Correct Crank Sensor
On the transmission bell housing where it mates to the engine, midway between the camshaft position sensors, directly below. You may have to remove/reorient the intake air pipes to get clear access to it. The google gods found this nice little sketch on imgur: http://i.imgur.com/xcVxdm3.jpg The diag...

Re: XC90 V8 Intermittent fuel pressure cutout
I'd love to know how they Tested it and confirmed it "Work's Prefect"!? Anyway, that sounds like a good deal, and I hope it works for you! Keep us posted! Roger The PEM being plug and play it would be one of the easier parts to test. Pretty much all you need is another Volvo that uses it ...

Re: Headlights go on and off randomly during day.
Probably the stalk/switch. My experience with my own car ('06) makes me think a possible culprit might the white grease volvo uses on chassis moving parts (latches, switches, hinges, door stops) has hardened into a thick putty and sticking the mechanism. However, there is an small circuit board on t...

Re: 2008 S60 2.5T are these good?
He knows nothing about cars. Strike one. Didn't bother to google it or look in the owners manual, strike two. He's cheap about the wrong things...Strike three. I put top tier premium in the Cirrus (Car I had before the Volvo) that didn't even call for it. Probably one of the reasons I got almost 200...

Re: Clean this sensor if you have not
To anyone stumbling across this thread, be aware this sensor is considered fragile. Preferred method to clear it would be alternating between light/low pressure compressed air and suction from a vacuum hose. If you stick anything through those holes be extremely careful to pick away at the fluff tha...
