Re: ISO post that specifies the mods done to the Volvo 850 wagon for races
Also I remember a film at the time talking about the custom built cylinder head. It alone was quite a feat! Emissions regulation probably made the design, even a lesser version impossible to sell. ie. like the dealer installed STAGE 2 455 Buick. Even in 1970, you ordered a STAGE 2 GS455 it arrived f...

Re: Slow cranking after belt fail
Did the belt wrap around the crankshaft pulley? If so it is known to effect the timing belt. It is a problem on the S60 2.5 for the belt tensioner to fail, allowing the belt to wrap around the crankshaft pulley causing the timing belt to fail. Essentially damaging the valves. I personally have been ...

Re: Radiator protection?
Yes replace the front springs. I replaced the radiator in my S80 from the same problem. Dealership replaced the front struts, springs and associated mounts, seats, etc. This raised the front end up better than 2" and thus no more scraping parking stops. Use aftermarket stuff and who knows... Fa...

Re: Belt fail timing jump
I will get some pics of them both..the only difference between the two was the cam sensor hole..went right together and no leaks. My daughter is coming over to help so it should go much faster..this will be our third pull...or drop I suppose. Here are some screenshots of another post talking about ...

Re: Belt fail timing jump
There is no more valuable resource than the interweb and forums..no matter what you have..if it is mass produced..somebody somewhere has had the same issue. I was looking at the other cover..and it appears that..really all I would have to do is bore a hole through where the other sensor goes and I ...

Re: Belt fail timing jump
You could go with one of the MVS sponsors. My car only gets Volvo Genuine parts from my Volvo dealership only. That's just my preference. Have you explored the sponsors like FCP Euro? I would not use Ebay, as I have read on here where people have gotten counterfeit parts rather than the advertised G...
