Re: 850r failing emissions miserably (HC and CO)
Just an update fo completeness and future people searching (and maybe some more info) Last night I check the last stored fuel trims on my obd scanner. STFT == 0.0 LTFT == 14.2 (this seems very high) I also poked around under the hood in the dark and cold at some vacuum lines, but couldn't see much ...

Re: Upper Torque Mount Bushing, Brands?
Just saw a couple OE style options on FCP the other day. I had a poly mount from IPD in my S70. I don't think it made vibrations that bad. But you will really know when you have a misfire. I personally wouldn't hesitate to use Meyle HD. Not like it's a horrible job or an expensive part to have to do...

Re: Rust prevention
Wow, quite impressive! Definitely getting some garage envy. I know Fluid Film is very popular in the US and is lanolin based. Seems to work very good. I undercoated my S70 the past fall in my driveway. Honestly, would not recommend unless you have a lift. Was not worth crawling around on my back for...

Re: 850r failing emissions miserably (HC and CO)
Just had another thought. A failing coolant temp sensor can cause a rich condition. There are topics in the forum on how to test if yours is in spec. Pretty simple and easy to do with a basic multimeter.

What killed my S70 T5M... Place your bets
So for those who don't know. My beloved 1998 S70 T5M died a slow and inevitable death at 323k miles. About 30k miles ago I started noticing brass/bronze flakes in the drain pan every oil change. She was down on power and burning a lot of oil. I did my best to investigate using non destructive means,...

Re: 850 sump splash guard
I'm guessing they were fitted on the diesels to help keep the heat in. Not sure what other benefits/downsides they might have on a gas engine. Will probably slightly improve aerodynamics and fuel economy. I'd sprits some rust preventer into those new holes if you live it one of those salty climates.

Re: 1999 V70 Oblong holes on wheels
No tire shop would dare touch that wheel. Torque sticks aren't meant to replace a torque wrench. The proper use case would be using them to run the lugs in without overtightening. Then you would still use a torque wrench to tighten to spec. They really aren't meant to be more accurate than +/-20%. T...

Re: Restoration: I Bought the Cheapest Running 98 V70 T5M (2023)
If I see no photos it didn t happen. Just saying ... All right, all right. Here are some quick and dirty pics from my phone. (And no this isn't my garage, and it was only supposed to be here for a few hours) It may be rough but I am still salivating. She's no looker, but still mint. Will post...

Re: 850r failing emissions miserably (HC and CO)
Keep searching for that vacuum leak. It might need to be driven some to get it to relearn the fuel trims.
