Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Installed a 150 watt oil pan heater and also checked that my block heater is working in preparation for winter. This car lives outside year round and although it will start in -30 with no supplemental heat, it breaks my heart to have to do it. I bought this heater at Fleet Farm for 35 bucks. It look...

Seat skin replacement 2003 XC70
I recently changed this seat back skin on the drivers side with a mint passenger’s side skin from the auto wreckers. I realize now that I should have done a tutorial on it because I’ve done both seats before, backs and bases. The side bolsters usually wear out on these seats and the bases split the ...

Re: Sunroof, installation and calibration 2014 XC9 0 redesign
1 Turn the ignition switch to position 1. 2 Operate the sunroof switch to position the sunroof in the tilt position, then release the switch. 3 Press the switch again for at least 5 seconds, so the sunroof closes. The calibration is complete.
This is the procedure for general calibration.

Re: Can you help ID these rearview mirrors? - P2?
Not sure if this helps Neil but these are exactly the same as my '03 mirrors with puddle lights. My car also has puddle lights and the green pigtail is the same. I think it will come down to if the pigtail is the same, they should be correct and compatible.

Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?
I just bought a Onewheel GT, learning to “shred the Gnar” without breaking any bones in the process! This thing is so much fun but I don’t feel confident on it yet.

Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?
Nice! I haven’t tried a Segway but I believe it’s similar technology to the onewheel. Very important to buy all the safety equipment available including pads and wrist guards etc. a full face MTB helmet is a good idea also. I put 27 kilometers on my onewheel on Friday and the only thing that hurt af...

Re: Headlight wiper issues - 04 XC70
I've got a box with at least a dozen of these, both sides. You're welcome to a couple working ones for no charge, I've been hoarding them you might say. I have to come over there next week to clear that Airbag message, got sent to North Carolina all week and just got back.

Re: Oil Consumption 2003 XC 70
I'm sure there's some wear on the valve guide seals but I'm not too worried about it now that I've found the major cause of the oil consumption in the filter o-ring. I'll keep an eye on it and see but without this leak it was only using about 1 litre per 10000 kms so not too bad. I'd like to do that...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Wow! Thats a beautiful car! I've not seen cloth interior on one of these, they all seem to be leather in North America. Is it Diesel?
