Re: blower bearing part numbers?

As above, it's rather two bushing bearings. The top one is the one going bad, unfortunately it sits under the blower 'fan' part, mine was really stuck in rust and wouldn't come off the shaft in order to have access to the top bushing

Re: blower bearing part numbers?

Take it apart as far as you can. I managed to get one all the way down, another only half. Either way clean it as best you can, spray it with solvent. Then pack it with grease and you are good to go. As described above, the bearings are super old tech. Robust and servicable if not water damaged. Eve...

Re: Red Battery light came on today

I think its an intermittent issue, as I said the first time I checked it with a voltmeter running it was only at 12 V ( battery voltage) so nothing coming from the alternator. I'll see what tomorrow brings and report back! Have you cleaned the battery terminals and the B+ wire connectors? It would ...

Re: Changing Timing belt this week, any tips?

leave the crank pulley and big nut alone, remove the front engine mount (two bolts) and torque mount and raise the engine, this will give you some extra room to do the water pump. Check the VVts for play, especially wobble at fully counter-clockwise is a common failure a volvo tech told me.

Re: 2003 CV axle install.......the easy way!

I used to know my old Mopar Challengers vs. Chargers, but Fiat messed that up 10 years ago when they made a 4-dr Charger and 2-dr Challenger, which threw a monkey wrench into my car brain. Apologies for the hijack, BL. I had a '71 Dodge Dart Swinger in that excellent, bright yellow, with a black har...
