Dash squeak is a feature, not a problem

Maintenace and diagnosis is quite simple. Just change the pcv anytime there's a problem and it will magically go away. Ripped seats? change pcv. Suspension problems? just change the pcv. Rod knock? you guessed it, pcv.

I don't think there is any difference in the spring mounting. You can replace the spring perch or bump stop since it's likely worn out, but I don't think there's anything that NEEDS to be replaced. Last year 850s with M4.4 still use flash codes for ECC ONLY.
Everything is fully OBD II except ECC.
So...flash code reader will work on ECC.
S,v70 from '97 (transitional year from 850 to S,V70)got fully OBDII ECC and Volvo Scan tool is required for diagnostics.
