Re: 2002 Volvo v70xc
I have ordered two different timing belt kits and the belts are too short on both of them. What am I doing wrong? How do you install it? I mark the old belt location on camshaft and crankshaft sprockets in a few spots, remove old belt, transfer the marks to the new belt, fix the belt on camshaft sp...

Restomodded 245, Swedish style
Hot Rod sponsors a weeklong endurance grind involving a visit to five different drag strips, carrying everything needed in the car/truck and a trailer of specific size. It ends up being around a thousand miles, plus a couple more 1/4 mile at a time. mikael-borggren-1987-volvo-245_on_the_road.jpg Not...

Re: Parts brands - OE Volvo, trusted aftermarket, and bad

Re: I guess I’m going to call him “Leo”
Well I installed the rear windshield this past week or so. I removed the old one, cleaned and treat some minor rust, sanded and painted the rear section of the silver panels. I didn’t need to phone a friend for the install. The windshield seal seated over the body lip easily. I used a couple of big ...

Re: P2 front subframe bushing install (not)
Thanks for that link, Krons, I need to do this. Quick question - does this cause the subframe to shift some and your alignment settings are off? Or do the bolts center each corner on the holes? I don’t believe so. With 105 Nm plus 120 degrees of torque I’d have to imagine it’ll be in the same spot.

Re: Parts brands - OE Volvo, trusted aftermarket, and bad
I would bite the bullet on that OE one Jreed. Rubber is a place where the cost cutting comes back to boil you over.
Volvo rubber seems to last 20 years plus and those turbo hoses are getting baked

Re: Coolant leak from near upper radiator hose
Time for new radiator.
Or, if you want to save money and roll the dice, get a used radiator.
