Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Recap of my Sunday project: My V70 has the dreaded driver side door catch damage. Weld spots in A Pillar failed and pre owner apparently tried to weld it before. It was time to do something about it. You can see the cracks in the area around the catch hinge and the repair welds. IMG_20250406_145408_...

Re: A $100 '99 V70 GLT
Decided to finish the day on something really really simple. How about putting in the oil filter, so I don't make the mistake of starting to add oil and wondering why it's taken 5qts, but nothing on the dipstick. This is my first cartridge type on a Volvo, and when I went to fit it, it seemed to bo...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I come to confess and repent of my sins. The MVS faithful have preached well regarding OEM motor mounts, but I had strayed. Re: A $100 '99 V70 GLT
I had just slipped the turbo on to the studs, and was in the process of putting on the first washer, when I decided that maybe a flange nut would be better. I didn't remove the turbo originally so I wasn't sure which was used. That's when I dropped the washer. I heard it hit metal and then waited to...

I Think, using Sta-bil fuel treatment all the time would be prudent.

Re: I spotted a Volvo! thread
I had to go to the supermarket for some lunch today and there was a red Volvo 740 with swedish license plates and old style S sticker on it (cars had to have these before EU license plates), looked real neat. I parked my blue 850 behind it, I was curious to see what kind of owner had a car like this...
