Pull the harness on the kickdown switch, Clear codes. Take out and punch to floor.
1. If the AT-143 does not come back, Kick down switch is welded closed or out of adjustment.
2. If AT-143 does comes back:
1. If the AT-143 does not come back, Kick down switch is welded closed or out of adjustment.
2. If AT-143 does comes back:
- A. short to ground in the kickdown harness.
B. TPS is a lier.

Have to double check as it is slightly different to the 99-00. On those it is hard to get to buried forward of the charcoal filter above the fuel tank. Taking a quick look at Vida for a 98 AWD would appear to show it on top of the the fuel tank. I can try to find a picture of my 2000 R from the sub-...
