Re: Seeking swarm knowledge as I do my M56 swap 97 855 R
OK, got the ABS pump off the car. Needed to undo all the brake lines. There are 3 10mm bolts holding the bracket onto the wheel well. 2 Are pretty accessible, the 3rd not so much. For the 2 on the top of the bracket you don't need to remove the bolts as the bracket will slide forward as the holes a...

I have a spare for you.
I have two spare shifter assemblies. One with a broken knob.
I'd be happy to get you the ball seat from that one. I'll PM you.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
For today, the clutch, pressure plate and transmission are now installed! Cables in place and shifter installed. Question about the clutch cables coming out of the firewall, do they pass to the left or right of the steering column as you are looking at the firewall? Nicely done! I can't remember ex...

Re: Seeking swarm knowledge as I do my M56 swap 97 855 R
I wouldn't worry with it. If you're worried about old ATF seeping, just flush the coils out with brake cleaner or what have you and run it. I did that on my manual swap in the T5 and then when I needed to replace the radiator, I just got one for a manual car. When I did the swap, I also swapped an R...

Re: Seeking swarm knowledge as I do my M56 swap 97 855 R
Do you have a clutch by now? The R clutch seems to be NLA and roght now noone carries a standard Turbo clutch either, as it seems. Just mentioning tjis so you don't throw away the old clutch assembly from the donor car and rather kep it and have it rebuilt in case the clutch shortage is not only tem...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Always good to get the 'while you are in there' stuff done as well. especially the service stuff. I'm still in the 850 AWD dash repair for my buddies car. I hate 850 dashes as they are needlessly more difficult to work on the the 98- P80's. I have replaced the broken direction flap on the RHS of the...
