There's a bunch of ground connectors on the inside of the fender close to the positive terminal under the hood. So it's the same as getting a jump start. At least that's how I've done it a few times.

The doors are 6,5". Any regular speaker with shallow-ish mounting depth will fit. Old speaker holders are reused after original speakers have been removed using mild force and heat to soften the glue.

You neither need to remove the wheel nor drill the rivets holding the wheel well interior. Unless someone before you has mounted the stuff wrong. The little torx to loosen the front plastic cover of the car is exposed by a small cutout. A little spray lubricant does wonders before you start turning ...

10w30 won't be an actual synthetic oil whatever the label says. It'll be a blend. The winter weight is really only important when cold starting if it's freezing. 10w is ok down to -10C or so. That's not that far. I wouldn't keep a car at all that I couldn't trust to last a trip like that. Milage shouldn't be an issue at all but rather the general condition of the car which you probably know best yourself.
