New forum theme is active now

The information and mechanics of the forum's workings will be unchanged. The fundamentals. I'm going to install a theme I've been working on for several months that

increases legibility
brings tools closer to you
increases page loading speeds, and
looks better

Naturally I want your feedback. Please post in this thread. I'll have it up shortly...

We're in the new style. If you don't see it, or things look jumbled, do a hard refresh:

Windows: ctrl + F5
Mac: shift + command + r

font is small for old eyes. hard to sort through all the blue hues. but I hate change so maby its me.

I like it overall, but the position of the notifications and user profile options being on the left side of the page make the desktop version feel like it's oddly scaled, almost like it's a mobile site. I prefer it on the right side, but that's just me!

Mobile first impression: There's too much empty space everywhere. More scrolling than before. Also feels a bit like I've got the entire page enlarged. I know this is all in line with current web trends but I'm not a fan, though I'll probably get used to it here as well.

Also two more hands on things:

The hamburger menu is now a bit too far up the page for one handed use.

Not having the title of the thread at the head of every post is confusing for people like me with a short attention span

It's too bright/washed out on mobile. Also please put this somewhere other than the edge. It has always been inconvenient. June
