Re: 2004 T6, tranny replaced w/rebuilt OE
There is nothing magical about the Volvo 4T65E transmission. It is 95% the same as the GM variant of similar years. The Volvo rebuild kit is the same as the GM's, but it needs an additional kit which contains the fourth gear pack and a seal for the awd. Rebuilding the Volvo variant is 99% the same a...

Re: Parking brake & wheel hub: what to look for?
Unless the brake shoes look fat and New, put new ones on. They last about 12-15 years then the linings fall off.
Ignore rust inside the hat, clean with wire brush and reinstall.

Re: Parking brake & wheel hub: what to look for?
I employ the "sand where they land" advice for brake rotors and wheels.
Using a wire wheel thoroughly clean where the rotor contacts the hub and where the wheel contacts the rotor.
A lot of stuff flies off.

Re: 2002 S60 NA Moonweasel - Oil leak behind passenger wheel + coolant spots in engine bay (w/photos)
That’s all nominal seeping. I’m guessing it’s more than one year between top offs, which arguably isn’t worth repairing

Re: 2002 S60 NA Moonweasel - Oil leak behind passenger wheel + coolant spots in engine bay (w/photos)
I would take some time and try to clean as much of the oil/grime off and then see where it comes back. Currently it is in so many areas it is hard to identify where it is coming from.
The stuff at the RH axle looks like classic CV boot split and not oil.
Neil.
