Great to hear. Live and learn - mistakes are ones greatest teacher. Glad it worked out for you - plus I learned some new things about tapping correctly.

I guess you could remove the spark-plugs and use a boroscope camera and see if any of the pistons is damaged. Another possibility is you have jumped teeth on the timing belt and bent valves. Hard to verify when the engine won't turn over.
