Re: 2013A XC90 - 150,000 Miles To-Do List
XHEART, The alternator drive pulley attached to the read will only move if you rotate the crankshaft. So unlike the other side that is very easy to test by moving the belt at the AC compressor, the Alternator side doesn't have a simple test like that. With the alternator removed from the engine it ...

Re: $10,000 S80 Challenge
The wax I used is from Meguiar's..........note the picture can't be used to judge its effectiveness because the time from application to deluge was only about 30 minutes.....LOL I do like the look of the White Paint covered in water droplets. A good white color like yours looks really clean (when it...

Re: Help. 2 fans replaced with 1
My XC70 friend, We are going to need more information. I own two P3's and both are first cousins to your car ---2010 S80 3.2 Originally came with a dual fan and it was making noise so I replaced it with a Conti/VDO Dual Fan ---2008 LR2 3.2 (I know its a LAND ROVER) Originally it came with a single f...

Re: Help. 2 fans replaced with 1
Garrett, The Dual Fan for a 2010 S80 3.2 is 3168680 8 (this is exactly the fan that I installed in my LR2 it even came in a nice Volvo Box) The single Fan is in fact 3168680 6 which is what you have Both of these fans should have a single controller and a single connector with three conductors B+ - ...

Re: 2007 XC90 3.2… cem not communicating with rem?
ERO1, The 3.2 has variable valve lift on the intake camshaft. The lifting is actuated by a solenoid. I wrote this on the FREEL2 Board "the variable valve lift is 1, 2, 4 and 3, 5, 6 for Bank 1 and Bank 2" Dos that look familiar? Bank 1 is cylinder 1, 2, 4 The 3.2 is used by Volvo and by La...

Re: 2007 XC90 3.2… cem not communicating with rem?
That's the variable valve lift solenoid (round top) The rectangle top next to it is #1 ignition coil. On my P3 the motor mount bracket gets in the way of removal but on your P2 it look like you can just remove it. The motor mounts are different for P2 and P3. That makes it easier to fix just the one...

Re: 2008 XC70 3.2 Lower Torque rod mount
The part number you posted doesn't fit on your XC70. The 3.2 was used in the P3 and P2 but the motor mounts are different You should have the same four engine/transmission mounts as my LR2 (a P3 with a Land Rover Badge) See the last four pictures https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic32979.html Note: fo...
