Justanotherhumanoid's 2006 S60 2.5T AWD Build Log

1-week Maintenance/Upgrade Plan for 2006 S60 2.5T AWD (Stage Zero to II) Hey all, had to park my new-to-me S60 2.5T AWD (~95k miles with the B5254T2 engine) for a bit and leave the country, but that's given me plenty of time to plan repairs and upgrades, wait for sales to buy parts, and map out ever...

Re: 1 week Maintenance/Upgrade Plan (Stage 0 to 2)

Okay, update to this, got some time to work on the car (again, a '06 2.5T AWD) and have done the following, pictures and notes to follow. Not quite in the order I had planned, but I saved some time by doing stuff while I had stuff out. Thanks to all who answered my questions and have posted info her...

Re: 1 week Maintenance/Upgrade Plan (Stage 0 to 2)

So I tried the dealer first and they no longer sell spray cans of my color, so I found a local auto paint shop that can match vehicle paint codes and put the paint in spray cans. My dealer confirmed the correct paint code by using my VIN but it's also on a placard on the vehicle somewhere. You can u...

Re: 04 S60 2.5T Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir Leak

Just something to check - I had a similar problem where I'd get a puddle on the ground only when I filled the reservoir up to the top. I went to the trouble of pulling a junkyard tank, testing it and checking for cracks, and installing it, only to find I still had a leak when I topped off the reserv...

Re: VIDA DICE purchase

A while back I bought a dedicated touchscreen panasonic toughbook already setup with VIDA and a dice unit packaged together from a swedespeed user, he had a few options: $215 shipped for a Dell $290 shipped for a touchscreen Toughbook. $250 for a non-touchscreen Toughbook He wanted $100 for the dice...

3D Printable Fuel Cap Retaining Ring Tool

Hey gents, I'm planning a fuel pump replacement on my '06 S60 2.5T, and as I was reading this guide ( https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=67480 ) I realized a special tool is required to remove the pump retaining ring. Since the tool doesn't look like it needs to be supe...

Re: Repaint? Try to fix clearcoat? Do it myself?

If it's just the roof, I'd say sand it down, apply filler to the pitted spots, sand again, prime, sand again, then paint and clearcoat it. You can get spray cans of paint mixed to your original paint code and some automotive primer and clearcoat from a vehicle paint shop. If you're careful and patie...

Re: 3D Printable Fuel Cap Retaining Ring Tool

Sorry for the long delay here, all. I ended up leaving my fuel pump alone for now as it seems to be working alright and is keeping AFRs where I want them with my current tune. That said, I did update the STL file for this thing based on the provided measurements and I attached it to this. If anyone ...

Prop Shaft Removal & CV Joint Replacement Writeup - 2006 S60 AWD

Hi all, Recently while replacing my angle gear collar sleeve, I damaged the front propshaft CV joint (probably by bending/hammering on it to separate it from the angle gear output flange). Not knowing at the time how bad it was, I freed it up, put some fresh grease in it, and reassembled everything....

Re: Impossible Downpipe Bolt - Options?

I was able to clean up the threads and get the proper bolt back in there using a tap and y'all's advice. Picked up a tap & die set. Did a practice run on the old turbo to verify I had the right tap size and pitch and to get a feel for the technique. I happened to have the downpipe off which gave...
